Ibusuki Nanohana Marathon （いぶすき菜の花マラソン）

The first full marathon of the year in Japan

The Ibusuki Nanohana Marathon is the year's first official course full marathon in Japan.
When the race is held in early January, the nanohana flower fields along the course are in full bloom, and participants run through the yellow carpet along the course.
Along the road steamed sweet potatoes and other treats are served up, making this marathon memorable as 'most hospitible in Japan'.
Further, the town of Ibusuki where the race is held is famous for having some of the best hot spring baths in Japan. You can enjoy these 'onsesn' at nearly all of the accomodations in the area.
After running your heart out, head to the natural hot spring bath to rejuvinate your tired body.
