Hello everyone! I'm Miki. I've been working as a certified international guide since 2016. I was born and raised in Kagoshima prefecture at the southern tip of Japan, and I still live here with my family. Kagoshima stretches about 600 km from north to south and there are 26 inhabited remote islands with abundant nature and unique culture. Actually I live very close to an active volcano, Mt. Sakurajima. I love to enjoy outdoor activities such as sea kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and snorkeling. I'm also very familiar with local spirits, such as shochu and whisky. I believe that experiencing new things will add new colors to your life. Why don't you come to Kagoshima and join my tours? I'd be very happy to make your tour personalized and give you several various options based on your preferences. I'm looking forward to meeting you very soon!

------ Testimonials ------
We had an enjoyable day with Mikiko Horikiri of touring two magnificent gardens and samurai houses in Kagoshima. She arrived promptly at our hotel (standing with a sign) and we went by taxis (at our request) to the two gardens. She was very knowledgeable and informative, and her English was excellent. In addition, there were a few items we wanted to purchase, and she was very helpful in locating them. We are sorry that our time with her was so short.

Upon meeting Mikiko for the first time both may wife and I felt like we were meeting a long lost friend. She was easy to talk to and we both shared many interesting stories. We booked 3 tours with her and each one was fabulous. The sand bath at Ibusuki was
unforgettable experience (first time in an onsen want to go back), Chiran with the Peace Museum was a moving experience. Mt. Sakurajima managed to spew ash for us and is just a short ferry ride from the mainland. Mikiko was an excellent host and guide.
