Although I grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC, I moved to Japan in 1987, where I concentrated the next 30 years on raising my rather large family.
In 2018, with most of my children independent, I started leading tours. I enjoy taking interested guests throughout this beautiful country which I love and call my home.
I also delight in digging out little-known gems from Japan’s rich past. From the elephant who had an audience with the emperor in the 18th century, to the young man deified as the sweet potato god, Japan’s history is filled with marvelous stories.
I would be honored to share the wonders, the stories, and the beauty of my adopted country with you.
