Originally from Perth, Western Australia, I have lived in Japan for over 21-years. A translator by trade, I spent 5-years working as a tour guide in Australia before moving to Japan permanently in 2007. As a student, I studied in Niigata followed by an exchange at Komazawa University where I majored in Japanese history. Today, I provide unique tours on one of Japan's best-kept secrets, the gorgeous Amami Island (Amami Oshima).
