Miyakozaki, a cape designated as part of Amami Gunto National Park, is covered with clusters of a species of broad-leaf bamboo called Ryukyu Sasa, commonly referred to as Sasanto. The cape is also a popular place for feeling in tune with nature. In winter, you can sometimes see whales from here.
