"Satsuma Gojuzo," named after "Goju," an educational organization unique to Satsuma, which is said to have nurtured the young generation of Satsuma which became the driving force behind the Meiji Restoration. We have handed down the tradition of shochu making from person to person up to the present times. At the adjacent "GALLERIA HOMBO," you can watch footage of the shochu production process and sample and purchase Hombo Brewery products.

An Oshima-tsumugi weave manufacturer on a vast site abounding in flowers and greenery, and a facility where you can spectate the working atmosphere and materials. A Japanese garden follows after the trees which give the true atmosphere of Amami, and its seasonal flowers greet you. You can also enjoy "Keihan," a famous Amami local dish.
