An uninhabited island with a perimeter of about 3 kilometers, 800 meters off the coast of Tara Cape, northeast of Ibusuki City. A sandbank appears at low tide, and low tides last for a long time after high tide, so this mysterious island can be reached on foot. It is said that this island was named "Chiringashima" ("The Island of Knowing by Forest") because it abounded in old pine trees in the past, and the sailors passing here at night would use the sound of the trees in the pine forest swaying in the wind to orient themselves. Between March and October, sand paths (sandbanks) appear at low tides after middle and high tides, and you can cross them to get to the island. Try and cross the sand bridge with your family, friends, or a loved one while feeling the pleasant sea breeze and make wonderful memories.

【Notice of temporary closure】 The bath hall will be temporarily closed during the following period due to maintenance work. Period: December 9 (Monday) ~ December 13 (Friday), 2019 The bath hall will be open for regular hours from December 14 (Saturday).

The Saraku Sand Bath Hall, one of the precious natural sand baths in Japan, is a Japanese-style sauna that utilizes natural hot springs that spring from the coast. Lay your body on the shore with natural hot springs, cover your body in the sand, and wait a bit while listening to the sound of waves. After 10 to 20 minutes, the heat from the hot spring and the pressure of the sand will cause your body to sweat. If you get out of the sand and bathe in the large bath, you will experience that pleasant feeling of waste products being completely washed away from your body and mind. There is even research data which suggests that your blood flows better after bathing than before. After bathing, take a break in the bright and spacious facilities facing the Kinko Bay or enjoy a stroll along the waterfront. There is also a snack corner and a specialty corner.
