鹿児島本港側 桜島フェリーターミナル
The Sakurajima Ferry Terminal Kagoshima Port is a 15 to 20-minute walk from Tenmonkan. From Kagoshima Chuo Station, you can take the city tram bound for Kagoshimaekimae to Suizokukanguchi (Aquarium). For the regular ferry, the fare for both passengers and automobiles is paid at Sakurajima Port. At Kagoshima Port, you simply board the ferry; you pay the fare when you arrive at Sakurajima Port. You may pay only with cash (Japanese yen) or IC card (Iwasaki/RapiCa Card). Credit cards, JR IC cards (Suica, etc.) and foreign currencies (US dollars, etc.) are not accepted. Also, be forewarned that there is no currency exchange service on Sakurajima. We recommend purchasing the Welcome Cute pass, a one-day unlimited Kagoshima City public transportation pass accepted usable on the ferry, bus, and tram. The Welcome Cute pass and Yorimichi Cruise tickets are available at the service counter on the 2nd floor of Kagoshima Port (7:30-19:00). Present your pass to a ferry crew member.
* You may not stay on the ferry for a round trip. Please get off when you arrive at the port.
