Staff are ready to support travelers in a wide variety of ways, from supplying directions to get around the island to providing advice on renting mountaineering gear. A range of local souvenirs are also on sale.
On the first floor are a selection of local items including crafts made of Yakushima cedar, sweets, seafood and shochu (a distilled alcohol).
Confections made using local specialties, such as ponkan and tankan oranges, are especially popular. Climbing equipment can also be rented. 
On the second floor, the restaurant serves a variety of Yakushima dishes such as ramen topped with barnacles, flying fish and ice cream made from the tankan orange.
Whether you're seeking information before sightseeing or picking up souvenirs on your way home, please stop by!
