This beautiful beach on the northeast coast of Tokunoshima got its name in 1969 when then-Crown Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko visited the area.

The 1.5 kilometer-long white sand beach is surrounded by coral reef and transparent cobalt blue water as far as the eye can see. The ocean here is filled with colorful tropical fish, making it a great place for snorkeling.

Aze Prince Beach Seaside Park is split into three areas: a multi-purpose open space, a campground and the beach. The campsite has a building with a cooking area and showers that are free to use. In the open space is an observatory where you can see all the way to Kakeroma, an island about 100 kilometers north, off the south coast of Amami Oshima. Other attractions include an outdoor stage and hills for grass sliding.
