●Information regarding classical swine fever
A wild boar infected with classical swine fever was found in our prefecture on November 19,2025.It doesn't infect humans but has a high fatality rate among pigs.As you know,Kagoshima is famous for its Kurobuta Pork.We'd like your cooperation with the following matters to prevent the virus from spreading out into hog farms.
1 Do not bring food containing meat into Japan and litter food outdoors.
2 Ensure your shoes are free of soil before coming to Kagoshima.
3 Avoid going near hog farms
4 Keep away from wild animals,traps and fences areas.
5 Follows instructions at disinfection points.
