Located about 7 km south of central Kanoya City, this park sits at an elevation of around 160 meters and features gently rolling hills throughout. Visitors can enjoy colorful seasonal flowers all year round.

From the observation deck, you can take in panoramic views: Shibushi Bay to the east, Kinko Bay and Mt. Kaimondake—also known as the “Satsuma Fuji”—to the west, Sakurajima to the northwest, and the cityscape to the northeast. It’s a truly scenic spot.

The park offers a wide range of facilities, including a go-kart track, campsite, mountain bike park, tea house, large playground equipment, and a disc golf course. There’s also “Kurobuta no Oka,” operated by Nanshu Farm, featuring a restaurant, takeaway shops specializing in hamburgers, a local products shop, and hands-on learning spaces.

On the grassy lawn, you’ll find “Kanoya Engawa,” where container-style food stalls line up during events, creating an open and relaxing atmosphere where visitors can unwind.

Adjacent to the park is the Kanoya Rose Garden, one of the largest in Japan, covering 8 hectares. The Kanoya Rose Festival is held here in both spring and autumn.
