  Tenmonkan - Downtown Kagoshima

  Tenmonkan is not the name of a specific building, but instead the name of a shopping district in Kagoshima City.
  The Tenmonkan arcade abounds with shoppers at all sorts of restaurants, some of which specialize in Kagoshima cuisine, as well as cafes and boutiques.

  Senganen ( Iso Area )

  Sengan-en is a Japanese style stately home and landscape garden along the coast north of downtown Kagoshima.
  One of the garden's most striking features is its use of active volcano Sakurajima and Kagoshima Bay as borrowed scenery.

  Shiroyama Observatory・Shiroyama Promenade

  This perennial favorite spot is the perfect place to view Sakurajima. It is also a place for local citizens to relax, and you can enjoy a stoll along the footpaths.

  Kagoshima City Aquarium (Io World)

  Located just by the Sakurajima Ferry Terminal, it is easy to get to from downtown Kagoshima City and from Sakurajima.
  The displays focus on the marine life of the Kaogshima coast and Kinko Bay, which lies just before you.
