In Kagoshima, fishermen have long flown bright, patterned flags to celebrate a successful catch. Today, these banners can still be seen fluttering on ships' masts as well as at events and festivals. In this hands-on activity, the instructor provides an introduction to the fishing flags' fascinating history before leading you in the dyeing process. Choose your desired design and dye it with your choice of colors to make your own unique creation!

Please wear or bring clothes for the activity that you don’t mind getting dirty. (A disposable apron and gloves are included in the price.）

After the activity, the instructors will remove the adhesive and make the final manufacturing touches. Your finished fishing flag will be shipped to you after a few days. (Shipping fees are not included.)
