This farm, nestled in a tranquil setting surrounded by mountains and rice fields, welcomes many tourists. The strawberries are grown by a veteran farmer dedicated solely to strawberries for over 45 years and cultivated with a commitment to organic fertilizers and reduced pesticide use. Many repeat customers travel from afar seeking these large, sweet strawberries.
There is no entrance fee or time limit for strawberry picking, so visitors can have a leisurely time. Payment is based on the weight of what you pick. The greenhouses are home to shiny, red strawberries, which can be enjoyed onsite after checkout or taken home.
The strawberries on offer include the Kagoshima-born variety Satsuma Otome, as well as Pika Strawberry, Starnight, and OiC Berry. Visitors can enjoy comparing their various tastes. Some greenhouses feature wide aisles, allowing entry with wheelchairs and strollers.
