Kamesomeya
(亀染屋)
Kamesomeya is a retail brand operated by Kamesaki Senko, a dyeing shop founded in 1869.
Kamesomeya's owners were inspired by a desire to make shirushi-zome products more accessible to everyone. Shirushi-zome is a traditional dyeing technique used to create patterns, such as family crests or other designs, on fabric. Today, Kamesomeya's owners continue to use traditional printing and dyeing techniques to carefully dye their products, creating items that convey the warmth of handcrafted work.
At the old traditional building, visitors can tour the dyeing workshop and try their hand at dyeing. For more details, please visit Kamsomeya's official website.
